Hi,

I've just came across OpenXML Viewer and it seems like a very neat program. However, the installer from the downloads section isn't compatible with Firefox 12.

Is there any way I could get it to work? Or perhaps is there a new version on the way?

Hi,

in the sourcecode appears to be a class called VML2SVG.cpp.

Can you please make an excutable file (with Linux and Windows versions) to convert VML to SVG?

Many people needs something like this in their web servers.

Hi,

It should be possible to install the same on Ubuntu. Follow the instructions in the installer package and you should be good to go!

Hi sepoto,

In order to build the source files, the dependent packages are required (xerces-c and xalan-c). In case of specific plugins, the dependent packages are nsapi for firefox, opera and safari.

Try using this on some doc file, with images, under win.

OpenXMLViewer is crashed.

In firefox, Tools->Add-ons->Extensions shows that OpenXMLViewer 1.0 is installed.

Attempting to open a docx file in firefox presents a pop-up which explains that
"You have chosen to open
DEEPWATER_HORIZON_SYNOPSIS_V2-0.docx
which is a: Binary File"

The only options are: Cancel / Save File

How can I apply this into ASP.NET? I have 2 files: DocX2Html.xslt and Program.cs.

And another question: OpenXMLDocumentViewer can be compatible with multiplatform? multi browsers? And does not need to install this like a plugin to convert docx to html?

HI,

I have used the OpenXML Viewer and DocX2Html.xslt for converting docx to html.All the things are working fine,but there is some things are missing

like alignment and images.In html page the image src is came like "word/media/imagename" so it is not displayed on the html page(there is no such path,only xml file is created).

Is there any modification needed(HandleImage method is used for image handling),please help!!.i am using c#.

I all,
I have a problem on my Windows Vista that began afetr the purchase of an external Hard Disk Freecom.
A few days afetr the purchase I disconnected it while it was writing and, since that moment, every time I connect and disconnect it, the PC go to freeze mode for 5 minutes.
The same thing happen even if the hard disk is disconnected: every time I start windows it go to freeze a little after the password, and every time I connect and disconnect a usb device.
I have looked for the solution everywhere, updated windows, unistalled and installed the hard disk from the device manager but I solved the problem only when I restored a recent backup.
Yesterday the Hard disk was writing a backup while Vista was installing the updates; at the end of the proceure windows restarted automatically and the problem began again!!!
The Pc go to freeze when it starts, every time I connect or disconnect the hard disk, an usb earphone that has always worked switch on but there is no audio and I don't know how many others usb devices will have problems.
Has anyone an idea to solve this problem before I throw out of the window Vista or the the hard disk?

Hi,

I am not a c++ programmer. I downloaded the OpenXMLViewer source and tried to build. Some how i managed to build Utility project successfully, but i am stuck at TransformationCore project. I am getting LNK2019 errors. Is there anything that i need to add/change in the project which is not specified in the "OpenXMLViewer_Build_Instructions_Windows.rtf" document or should i re-check the steps that i followed.

If you couldn't help me with the information that i gave, i will give more information. Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I am trying to paginate the output html from the docx2Html.xslt file by parsing the result into an array so that my web pages can be numbered the same as they were in the original word document. From looking at other threads here I know there is no default support for it but I am trying to make an <xsl:template="customPageBreak"> that I can call each time the text overflows onto the next page.

I know I can inject a tag into the <xsl:template match="w:br"> and the tag shows on the output html but this only happens when a page break is forced in the original document. Also I have created a <xsl:template match="w:lastRenderedPageBreak"> which injects my custom html tag before the documents last page so now I want to call my customPageBreak template every time the text flows over onto a new page.

Any ideas how I can calculate when the text is due to overflow or any suggestions as to how I might edit the DocX2Html.xslt to calculate it, what variables should I be looking at in there? Is it enough to look for footers or can a document without a footer be missed like that?

Can I look for the w:t element or use the pgSz attribute to calculate it? Any help appreciated.

Yes, there hasnt been much activity for some time now. We are currently on a break. We will hopefully draw up the next upgrade plans and come back.

Hi, i'm developing small ASP.NET app. I wat to get documents from users as docx fileas and convert them to html. I'm using converter inside app, and i'm unable to get images. they are not copied into images folder. Using procmon i realized that this problem is causeb by lack of xcopy command runned at the end of conversion. I alreadd add network service account to administrators group, but it not help. Any idea how to solve that?
